It is said that once in every generation, there is a shift in how we work. If the Industrial revolution prompted a move from fields to factory, the Second World War saw women enter the workforce. The digital era transformed our world of work by leaping over geographical as well as cultural boundaries and making the world a more connected place. The COVID-19 pandemic however, was different in that it forced a sudden and drastic change in the way we work. It coerced us to work from home and somehow seamlessly manage workflows, execute projects and combat innumerable challenges. With no precedent in place, we had to find solutions on the go. The good news is that we did it.

Now we face a world order where hybrid is the new mantra. It is redefining work and work culture. It is forcing us to strike a balance between work from home and sustaining an organizational culture. Let’s also pause here to look at the larger picture. Hybrid is as well the new mantra for products and services – as organizations are seeking to deliver more sustainable solutions. We are in short, moving towards a future where hybrid might become the norm in almost every aspect of work.

How do we redefine and align our work culture to this new world order – particularly in the context of project management? We will be deep-diving into this topic at the Project Management South Asia Conference taking place in Mumbai on 9-10 December 2022. Our volunteers are working hard to bring you a fantastic line up of speakers to elaborate on the impactful conference theme of Hybrid and beyond: a paradigm shift

It is my pleasure to welcome you all back to an on-ground event that will be hosted by the PMI Mumbai Chapter. We hope you will not miss this fantastic opportunity to network, interact in-person with industry experts and peers from various industries. As always, we promise you a fantastic delegate experience! I look forward to meeting you at the event.

After a 2-year hiatus of virtual happenings all over the world, we are now slowly emerging with face-to-face interactions. Project management professionals need to interconnect, need to network, need to 'press the flesh' for exchange of views, ideas, and bonding! What better opportunity to do this than at the Project Management South Asia Conference this December 2022 at the Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai! We want you to be there.

You will hear some very articulate speakers expounding on the theme of 'Hybrid and Beyond'. We shall have workshops and group discussions on varied areas of Project management. We will once again connect with each other and also with captains of the economy. Yes, we will 'press the flesh' once again! Come, joins us on 9th and 10th December 2022.

Conference Director and Vice President – Membership, PMI Mumbai Chapter

Dear Delegate,

The past two years have transformed in how we work and engage with employees, external stakeholders, and customers. Remote work which was a privilege pre-covid is now the new normal.

Post pandemic, while employers are ready to get back to a significant in-person presence, employees aren’t. The disconnect is deeper than most employers believe, and a massive attrition and disengagement is visible in the company’s diminishing margins. Organizations are trying to find the right balance between remote work and in-person working. The changes have evolved into Hybrid working and employers are trying to provide flexibility for WFO and WFH to arrest attrition. They are expected to balance employee empathy needs with business requirements. Denying the disconnect is no strategy at all.

On the other hand, how do we deal with our stakeholders and customers in this uncertain era? Everyone is embroiled in learning curves and are quickly adapting to changes almost on a daily basis – how do you grab and hold down the attention of individuals and team when you critically need it for key decision making?

How do you make your ideas turn to reality?

It’s time for leaders to get real about Hybrid and Beyond – The Paradigm shift.

Welcome to the 14th in-person South Asia conference 2022 to be hosted in Mumbai, the first annual conference after a gap of two years, where eminent speakers and leaders will touch upon this very pertinent and burning topic. Through insightful conversations with leaders and industry experts, we will focus on answering the above stated questions and many more to help the project community emerge triumphant and continue to remain in the forefront of organizational success.

Along with the entire organizing team, I look forward to welcoming you on December 9th at the Nehru Centre in Worli, Mumbai.
