A mega virtual event that celebrates organizations and individuals around the world who are pivoting fast to respond to the ever changing ‘new normal’. This unprecedented situation has given rise to project leaders who are the change makers helping organizations move towards a new working eco-system. The last couple of years has been the most disruptive times in the recent past. The last 18 months has seen all elements of VUCA impacting us in every part of our lives. We have now lived through these times and now it is time to recollect what we experienced and move ahead.
As part of our constant endeavours to bring industry best practices and knowledge in Project Management, we from Project Management Institute (PMI) bring the South Asia Conference 2021 that will be held on 10th and 11th December 2021.
The theme of the South Asia Conference 2021 is "Embracing the New Normal" and it is apt to understand what our leading speakers have to say that will reassure us and help us in our future too.
The conference will bring global speakers who will share their experiences in how they handled the disruptions and move on.
As the President of the PMI Bangalore Chapter, oldest chapter in India, we would like to wish you the best in your future and hope this conference allows you to learn and experience aspects that you can take back with you.
Hope to see you all in the conference.
COVID-19 induced pandemic and disruption is being seen as the catalyst for a global reset and the acceleration of digital transformation. PMI has been at the forefront of recommending the right mix of technology, digital and project management for successfully delivering value through projects. Across the organization, everyone must recognize that, for a business to achieve sustained innovation excellence, it is very important that an innovative mindset must be integral to every employee’s job profile. Also, Leaderships teams need to measure and reward innovation, more so in project management offices, so that it becomes a core competency that drives priority-setting, resource allocation, talent retention, talent acquisition, and the development of influential leaders to deliver value through project management.
New age leadership teams know that many old ways of working are basically incompatible with a successful digital transformation culture and a tremendous, yet subtle cultural change is required. Gone are the days of managing work using pen and paper, whiteboards and dry erase markers, sticky notes, and your cubicle walls. Digital project management is making stuff happen in an increasingly connected digital world. Hence it is no surprise that today's project managers are moving their teams and processes online to keep up with the competition and deliver at a faster pace than ever before.
We welcome you all to this two-day virtual conference that will be hosted by the PMI Pune Chapter. The virtual conference will be held on 29th & 30th May and will be a great digital forum to enable interaction, exchange of knowledge and sharing of ideas with business leaders, industry experts, leading practitioners, and peers from various industries.
On behalf of the Organizing team
Jay Dholakia, Conference Chair
Rinoo Rajesh, Conference Director
