Gowrishankar (Gowri) has 20 years of industry experience with global scope in the field of supply chain and procurement covering both Direct and Indirect procurement domains. Gowri is a certified Project Management professional (PMP®.)  .  He has been actively involved with the Bangalore Chapter activities of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) since its inception.  He holds a Bachelor€™s Degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA.   Prior to joining Intel, he worked at both Bosch and Wipro in the Procurement function supporting direct and indirect materials.

 Since 2004 he has been with Intel in India and currently Heads the India Purchasing function. As Global sourcing manger he is focusing on product engineering outsourcing for R&D groups. His responsibilities include development and implementation of global sourcing strategies, supplier selection, contract negotiations and other aspects of supply chain management. Also focused on driving key internal and external relationships that help advance Intel€™s knowledge in the outsourcing domain and establish Intel as a thought leader in this space.

Overall experience of 21 years in Services and Telecom. Currently working with NOKIA from last 14 years. He played multiple roles like Project Manager, Program Manager,.. . His current role is of Sr. Project Quality Manager with Fixed Networks – Network Infrastructure BG. He has completed MBA(Systems) From Lucknow University in 1999. He is a Project Management Professional(PMP) Certified from Project Management Institute in 2007, Scrum Master in 2009 and PMI ATP Instructor PMP(2022). He is a lead PMP Instructor in Nokia and trained over 750+ Nokia Employees till date. He also supports various PM programs within Nokia. He is working closely with PMI India on PMCD initiative activity for last few years.
