I’m absolutely delighted to invite you to the
10th Project Management National Conference, India 2018 being held in New Delhi on 12
& 13 October. For us, it’s been an amazing, decade long, journey filled with new learnings. We
have had the good fortune of meeting some incredibly passionate and knowledgeable people. With
each passing year, the respective host chapter members have discovered what a fountainhead of
knowledge volunteering can be. And, best of all, we have had delegates who have come back to
attend the conference year after year. The constructive feedback and support of delegates have
kept us going. Now here we are, with the 10th edition of the National Conference. We, the PMI
India team and the host chapter, are working hard to ensure that this event lives up to its magnitude!
Very appropriately, this mega event is being held in our capital city, New Delhi. A politically
dynamic city, with an amazingly rich history, it serves as the ideal setting for us to discuss
our country’s future. The theme of this epic 10th anniversary conference is:
India in 2022 - Leading in a Globally Disruptive Market
While India is expected to, and is working towards, being an economic superpower, how can
we achieve this goal amidst disruptive market conditions? Today the world of work is in a constant
state of flux. Disruptions are the order of the day. We need to continually and quickly acclimatise
to change. Amidst all this change how do we plan, adapt, transform and achieve our business goals?
Project Management is the vital skill than can make a difference between success and failure.
This two day conference will be a platform for business leaders from various industries to
discuss how effective project management can be used to yield better results and help organizations
make a higher impact on the region’s and the country's economy. As always, we will strive to
get the best and most effective speakers to share their knowledge and ideologies with you. A

First of all let me take this opportunity to welcome you all to the Capital of India and
also to this special
10th edition of this PM Conference 2018 which also incidentally mark the
15th year of formation of PMI North India Chapter.
As we all are aware of various challenges and opportunities coming in the way of successful
delivery of Project / Programs / Portfolios across both private and government sector due to
various local / National / International changes and disruptions happening around us. Taking
all this into account and also how we as PM’s can help our country move into the path of growth
and development using best Global practices of Project Management, topic for this year’s conference
has been very aptly choosen as
"India in 2022 – Leading in a Globally Disruptive Market".
The whole idea behind choosing of this theme is to explore challenges coming in the way of
our Nation on account of local and Global disruptions, how we can leverage them to convert them
into opportunities and using Project Management best practices lead our National onto the path
of becoming Global power by 2022 in this Globally Disruptive Market.
Between now and then PMI North India Chapter Board, PMI India, Core Committee of PM National
Conference 2018 along with other PMI chapter in India will work tirelessly like last year to
make this experience of yours truly rewarding and enriching and we look forward to meeting and
interacting with you all during the conference.
PMI North India Chapter is also celebrating its
15 year of volunteering service this year is very excited to host this conference in the
