As a part of the chapter’s efforts to engage members, it has started a series of lectures and discussions called the PMI Lounge which takes place every Saturday at the PMI Pune Chapter office. This initiative aims to bring members to the chapter office at least once a month so that they know which opportunities to explore while gaining domain knowledge.In April, there were case study presentations on ”digital lean.” The May PMI Lounge sessions included an informal talk on project management offices (PMO) in the automotive sector, a session on the strategic role of project management in an organization’s growth held at BMC Software, Yervada, and a discussion on the theory of constraint in project management.Vikram Shende, chapter volunteer; Rajarama Rao, former president, PMI Pune Deccan Chapter; Girish Kelkar, former chapter president; and Harish Honwad, former board member, delivered these talks.
