PMI Pune-Deccan Chapter has been actively organizing educational and leadership seminars for members.

 

On October 10, two inspiring speakers addressed members. The first session on ‘Chanakya's Project Management Ideas’ by Anuraag Gupta, B.Com, brought out the key points in the entire project management process, from planning of projects, to understanding a project in detail, execution of projects and successful completion of projects. This was followed by a session on ‘Setting Correct Expectations Around Test Automation’ addressed by Shrikan t Dhamal. Shrikant, PMP, has over 10 years of industry experience, and heads the Test Automation Center of Excellence in SQS India.

On November 7, members heard Savita Pathak, MBA, PMP, on ‘Business Process Management’. Savita shared her insights into the BPM ideology. She has over 12 years of industry experience, with expertise in using BPM technology for business processes. Following this was an interactive session on ‘How To Develop The Personality of a Leader’ by Vivek Shrivastava. Vivek, BE, MS in Computers, has 18 years of IT and business experience.

On December 12, Shyam Bhagwat gave members an overview on Dr. Stephen Covey’s The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Shyam is a certified trainer for the Seven Habits Workshop, from Covey Leadership Center, USA, and carries with him a total industry experience of 35 years. This was followed by a session on ‘How Corruption Saves Nation From a Fiscal Disaster’ by Rajiv Sane. Rajiv, an engineer with a passion for humanities and sociology, has an MA in Sociology.
