REP meet on Collaborative Marketing

The second R.E.P meet was held in Bangalore on April 27, 2010. The meet had as its theme Collaborative Marketing and 25 REPs were in attendance. The welcome and opening address came from Mr Uday Yedur, Head - Academic Relations & Infrastructure Markets. Presentations on the REP Program were made by Mr Steve Fahrenkrog, VP (Regional Development), PMI Update on REP MAG -New Initiatives by Dr. Subhash Rastogi, Member, R.E.P Advisory Group, and the Learning Session was spoken about by Mr. Rajan Kaicker, Faculty from Franklin Covey, a Global Training and Consulting Company.

The second session had an update on PMI India Activities by Mr. Uday Yedur, while a presentation on Lead Generation Initiative was made by Mr. Raj Kalady, M.D, PMI India. An Open Session followed the presentations. Interactions with the REPs also were part of the event.

Project Management in Oil & Gas 2009

Over more than 100 Major Projects ranging from Rs.120 crore to Rs 3000 crore are at different stages of implementation by the Oil Companies in the Upstream, Downstream and Midstream sector. Completion of these projects is crucial to help intensify exploration and production activities, increase refining and petrochemical capacity and augment the pipeline network in the country. It is important to ensure that these projects are executed within their planned timelines, allocated budgets and meet the quality expectations. Challenges in implementing these projects need to be identified and overcome; risks pre-empted and mitigated to avoid surprises in the future.
